James W. Scarbrough

Jimmy Scarbrough is a senior associate at the firm. He focuses on civil litigation defense in the areas of premises liability, product liability, and professional negligence. Jimmy was featured in the Fulton County Daily Report after obtaining a defense verdict for the driver of an automobile that was involved in an accident which resulted in the death of five passengers. In 2007, he was recognized as a Super Lawyer Rising Star for the State of Georgia, an honor provided to 2.5% of the lawyers in Georgia.

Jimmy has extensive trial and litigation experience and has successfully tried cases in courts throughout Georgia. He is experienced in all facets of litigation, from discovery and motions through settlement negotiations, mediation, trial and appeal. He has represented publicly traded companies, national insurance companies, nationwide and regional restaurants and stores in a wide range of disputes.

Jimmy received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law, where he was a member of the Journal of Intellectual Property Editorial Board. He graduated from the University of Georgia, with a bachelors degree in Political Science. He is a member of the Georgia Bar Association and the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association. He is active in the Atlanta community as a volunteer and is an active member at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church. .
