Rex D. Smith

Rex D. Smith joined the firm in September 1976.  Mr. Smith graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics.  He graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1976.  After working as a civil trial lawyer for 30 years and trying over 100 cases, he moved to mediation and arbitration in 2006 and has mediated over 500 cases.  Rex has spoken extensively throughout the country in the areas of Mediation, Traumatic Brain Injury and Products Liability. He represented Delta Air Lines in over 300 litigated matters until he devoted his practice exclusively to the areas of mediation and arbitration.  He is affiliated with Henning Mediation & Arbitration in Atlanta, Georgia.  He was selected by his peers to be included in the Best Lawyers in America, 2007, 2008 in the area of ADR; and has been voted a Georgia “Super Lawyer” in Atlanta Magazine 2004-2006 in the field of Insurance Defense and in 2007, 2008 in ADR.  Mr. Smith also was chosen by the American Registry as being recognized by corporate counsel as one of the Top Ten Lawyers and was selected as a Fellow of the American College of Civil Trial Mediators.  He is a member of the Atlanta Bar Association, the State Bar of Georgia, the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association, and the Association for Conflict Resolution.  Mr. Smith and his family reside in Alpharetta, Georgia.
