Walter B. McClelland

Walter B. McClelland is a trial lawyer specializing in personal injury, business and catastrophic injury litigation.  He has tried numerous cases involving substantial injuries and death, primarily in the state court system in the Metropolitan Atlanta area.  Mr. McClelland is a native of Atlanta and obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia in 1968 and his law degree from Georgia in 1971.  He served as a field artillery officer in the United States Army beginning in 1968 and retired as a Captain in the Army Reserves in 1976.  He has been a member of the firm since 1971.  He is a Past President of the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association and continues to serve as chairman of the Judicial Relations Committee and on its Board of Directors.  He is a member of the Atlanta Bar Association and served on the Board of Directors of its litigation section from 1992-1995 and on its Judicial Tenure and Qualifications Committee from 1995-1998.  He is also a member of the Lawyers Club of Atlanta, the Atlanta Claims Association, the Defense Research Institute and the Old War Horse Lawyers Club.  He has been voted a Georgia “Super Lawyer” in Atlanta Magazine each year since 2004 and in 2008 was named one of Georgia’s Top Lawyers by Georgia Trend Magazine.
