The Mabry McClelland Tradition
Mabry & McClelland, LLP was founded in 1963 and became one of the oldest and most respected civil litigation defense firms in Atlanta. The firm served the insurance and business community for more than 60 years.
In April 2024, the firm’s Partners, four of whom had been together for more than two decades, decided to close the firm to pursue other opportunities.
We are proud of the firm’s legacy; our track record for getting results and our standard of quality and professionalism that set us apart from other firms. As trial lawyers, we maintained a reputation for treating our adversaries fairly and professionally. Our opponents have always known us as forthright lawyers who never hesitated to take a case to trial. Our lawyers have been recognized as among the most talented and experienced litigators in the Atlanta area.
Above all else, we are proud of the long-term relationships we have enjoyed with our clients, some of whom have been with the firm since the 1960s. Serving them with integrity has always been our mission, as we sought to understand their goals and expectations and implement a plan to maximize those goals.
Though we are no longer practicing law under the Mabry McClelland name, we will continue the relationships we have built with colleagues, clients, and the community.
Walter McClelland and Jimmy Scarbrough have moved their practices to Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP. Richard Hill has moved his practice to Fain Major & Brennan, P.C., and is a mediator with BAY Mediation and Arbitration Services. Jim Budd is a registered mediator and will be joining BAY Mediation and Arbitration Services.
